In order to obtain an SIA licence you will need to show that you are trained to the right level. This applies to front-line staff only. To get one of the qualifications linked to door supervisor licensing, you will need to attend and take four training modules and pass three exams. The course may be delivered over 38 guided learning hours, 30 hours of which should be contact hours (as detailed below).

The purpose of this Level 2 (QCF) Award is to provide awareness of Door Supervision to meet an increasing demand for more well-trained operatives in the security sector.
Anyone aspiring to work as a Door Supervisors / Door Steward should have passed this recognised Door Supervisors / Door Steward Course.
Level 2 (QCF) Award tells prospective employers that you have undergone a thorough and comprehensive Door Supervisors / Door Steward training and have fully absorbed the knowledge and understanding to meet any demands. Graduates of our Door Supervisors can apply their skills for their duties in the public sector.
Level 2 (QCF) Award in Door Supervision is fully endorsed by the SIA (Security Industry Authority) in support of the Licence to Practice for door supervision under the Private Security Act 2001. The qualification is based SIA standards and on best practice in training and assessment.
